Who may enroll in Kindergarten at Horizon Honors Elementary for the 2019-2020 school year?
Students must turn 5 years old on or by August 31, 2019.
What are the hours of the Kindergarten Program?
Half Day Program Hours – 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Full Day Program Hours – 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
How can I obtain details about the Arizona College & Career Ready Standards used in developing the Horizon Honors Elementary Kindergarten curriculum?
The Arizona Department of Education adopted standards and are available through the Arizona Department of Education Website. Horizon Honors Elementary curriculum incorporates these standards and moves beyond to provide a highly academic and content rich curriculum.
Are snacks and/or lunch provided?
Each Kindergarten student must bring snack and a lunch each school day. Each student should also bring a water bottle. Beverages other than water can be stored in student lunch bags. Horizon Honors offers lunches for purchase.
Is there a nap time?
There is no nap time in our Kindergarten program. However, a quiet time is provided where students take a break between lunch and their afternoon learning block. During this time students engage in quiet solo activities such as reading, puzzles, and drawing.
Is before school or after school care available?
Yes! Horizon Honors offers before and after school care called Club Horizon for students in grades PreK-6 for an additional fee. See the Club Horizon page for details.
How much does the program cost?
There is NO TUITION for the 2019-2020 full day program!
