Creativity, confidence, and self-expression are an important part of the Horizon Honors experience. Students have opportunities throughout Elementary School to discover their talents, build new skills, and express themselves through music, theater, visual arts, and creative writing.
Whether a student is exploring a new interest or developing an existing talent, Horizon Honors provides opportunities to learn, create, perform, and collaborate with peers.
Arts Classes:
All students participate in arts instruction as part of the school day.
- Music and Art Specials for Grades K-4
- Daily Leveled Band beginning in Grade 5
- Daily Leveled Chorus beginning in Grade 5
Some grade levels also participate in Art Masterpiece programming throughout the school year.
Arts & Creative Clubs:
Students can further explore their interests through a variety of extracurricular clubs.
- Beadery Club for Grades 5-6
- Craft Club for Grades 1-4
- Rising Stars Drama Club for Grades 1-2
- Show Biz Drama Club for Grades 3-6
- Writing Club for Grades 5-6
Through performances, showcases, exhibitions, and creative projects, students build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and discover the joy of artistic expression in a supportive school community.
